Flight of the Conchords Ep 3 Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros

I am now at the stage were I can consider what I will do for my own music video course work. I have narrowed down my options to two artists and song styles, firstly due to his popular new album and a personal enjoyment of his songs as well as the knowledge that this music is popular to my target audience, I've chosen power by Kanye West.
For my second selection I have chosen Carol Brown by the comedy music duo flight of the conchords because I believe a strength of mine is my sense of humor and therefor I should play to it.
However I believe it would be more of a challenge to use power and this song gives more chances to experiment with story lines and graphics.

Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill (HD)

The Gorillaz are condidered one of the most popular bands of the last five years and their USP is the fact that they are animated, illustrated by a famed cartoonist. Seeing that I wish to include a similar element to my own video I think it was important to analyse some of their work.

Kanye West - Heartless

I realised after my first video that special effects were somthing I wished to make a focal point to my own video. At the moment I am enjoying the music of kanye West so I have been watching some of his more 'creative' videos. This particular video utilizes heavy beat music and illustration to make it attarctive to a male audience, particularly the 16-21 year old demographic.

Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer (1986)

I began preparation for my course by analysing a number of music videos and this particular video demonstrates an excellent knowledge of "stop-Motion"
